we can assist each other a lot - for FREE! ... Since Mermaids Dive Centers' creation we have always been deemed to be a very friendly bunch. It's good to have friends and a lot of dive allies out there - we really can assist each other positively and it does not have to cost a penny! Instantly there are 3 ways that Mermaids and your dive center can assist each other with no cost involved. In fact you can gain dive business from just being friendly. It's nice to have friends in general but very nice in this industry - here's how we can assist each other:
Scuba Diving Staff Employment: Mermaids Dive Career Development Center has been training dive masters, dive instructors and assisting with dive career enhancement with the MSDT and PADI Staff programs for many years. PADI awarded Mermaids the CDC status for outstanding achievements in dive career development. With 11 - 12 PADI Instructor Exams each year in Pattaya, Thailand Mermaids have a good stream of freshly well trained and professional dive instructors ready for dive work. Some stay on to take the MSDT and Staff and others are ready to gain dive jobs immediately after the IE. Due to Mermaids network of divers out there often the new diving instructors do have scuba jobs lined up for them by helpful and kind old Mermaids divers that are working in the dive industry. If nothing has transpired then we use good contacts with Divers-jobs(.com) and PADI for possible employment for the divers. Increasingly we are receiving correspondence from friendly dive centers world wide that enquire after our well trained divers for work. Below are just a couple of recent (17.8.07) letters that have arrived at Mermaids for dive staff.
Mermaids Dive operate an internal diver forum board which also has a scuba diving jobs section for assisting our divers into diving work. If you have a scuba diving job, whether it be as a diving instructor, dive center manager, dive resort manager or even dive master work please do feel free to let us know. Mermaids have divers attending the dive internship programs for many different reasons. Those that wish to be well trained in diving and work in the industry gain excellent experience and could serve your diving company proud! If you wish to advertise any dive work that you have available and hand pick your scuba diving staff please let me know. The details required are dive position, location, remuneration, trial periods, length of contract etc. Let me know as many details as possible and I shall have the pro divers contact you directly. Please note that Mermaids are only interested in offering genuine work with solid companies to our divers - necessary paperwork such as visas and work permit must be assisted with. Advertise your dive center to our divers FREE: Mermaids Forum serves many purposes. Constantly Mermaids are looking to add more value and substance to the Mermaids Dive programs. This does not just stop at the course content or the facilities but what else we can gain for the divers in the dive industry in general.
