If you are leaving the Military for re-settlement or are ex-army with time on your hands without focused direction, why not consider a career in Scuba Diving or Public Safety Diving? – scuba diver training could allow you to dive work in a local environment or lead to a dive job world wide.

Learn-In-Asia specializes in Scuba Diving Education in an internship environment. We have scuba internships to cater for all required level of certification from many agencies including DSAT, IANTD and the PADI scuba diving system.

If you have never scuba dived before or have experience, maybe in a military diver training capacity, we can assist to increase your dive knowledge and skills and ensure that you can make a scuba dive career out of them.

Our diver training facilities are geared to accept interns from all walks-of-life and all nationalities but we all have so much in common. We have adventurous personalities and are not shy of travel or hard work. This personality has allowed us to settle in far off lands enjoying dive jobs. We have a vast network of associated dive facilities that can assist in placing qualified dive instructors and divemasters for diving work.

Mermaids/Learn-in-Asia dive academy has been offering resettlement diver training in the form of internships / traineeships since 2000. We strive to constantly improve and keep state-of-the-art technologies and programs to keep us leading the way in re-settlement dive programs – this could be anything from ASSET (Association of Scuba Service Engineers and Technicians) training, PERT (Professional Emergency Response Diving - Public Safety Diving - Non-vocational training) and PERT programs to instructor level.

It is our job to make resettlement as enjoyable and constructive as possible. Our programs will open up a host of scuba diving job possibilities world wide. PADI, DSAT, PERT and IANTD instructor ratings are all professional qualifications and recognized world wide allowing you to take these learned scuba diving skills for work globally.

Ex-forces from both the UK and the US armed services have enjoyed dive training with us. We have ex-forces from the US and British Military (Army), US Marine Corps, US Navy and the British Royal Marines. If your wife (or even husband) would like to join you we have appropriate up-graded accommodation to comfortably house both of you (and more) in a family environment here in Thailand whilst you learn. We offer all inclusive packages including full professional scuba education, dive equipment (tools of the trade) and accommodation.

We have active forces training with us whist in the area during service and many fire and police officers have joined us during sabbaticals and career break periods.
