Halloween in Pattaya at Mermaids Halloween
Fancy dress in Pattaya, Thailand. 31st of October heralds the return of Halloween. Thailand is not a country that celebrates Halloween per-se so this year we decided to make our own fun. The Mermaids intern divers did not fail to get in to the swing of things this year and filled Mermaids 1 boat full of spine chilling shenanigans. Many of the interns chose to participate in our ‘Halloween fancy dress dive’. Those who were brave enough to rock up to the dive shop in the morning with their outfits had a day full of fun and fancy dress diving at two of our far islands - Koh Rin and North rock. These two islands are some of the shop favourites as the topography provides not only interesting marine life and scuba diving but protection from currents which makes it perfect for fun and games under water. Amongst the costumes there were some Swashbuckling Pirate’s, a scary police woman , grievous gardeners, a Bart Simpson and we even had a Mermaid. The Beautiful diving conditions on that day were topped of by unusual underwater activities. Each dive team was armed with a Pumpkin and orders not to return until it was carved (on pain of death via the plank!). All interns clamored to get in to the water to complete the mission and none returned empty handed. Good job done...Whooaa Whooaa! (That's meant to sound spooky).
