Hyperbaric Chamber Tender / Operator Course
For some divers working the dry-side is more appealing as a dive career than diving itself. All commercial operations require hyperbaric recompression chamber operators and tenders - it is a diving career in it's own right.. *Coming in 2007* - The Hyperbaric Chamber Tender / Operator course The Hyper baric Chamber course is 5 days in length. During the course the student will have a intensive Theory sessions. The topics covered during this session are as follows:
Along with the Theory sessions there will be plenty of hands on experience. Students will taught the proper procedures how to prepare the chamber for a treatment (dive) and what needs to be done to the chamber afterwards. Other hands on experience includes:
Students will also learn the duties of the INSIDE Tender. The Tender is the person who will set up the "Inside" of the chamber and also take care of the chamber after the treatment. Students wishing to be a Recompression Chamber Operator/Tender do not necessarily have to be scuba divers. Students should have some type of CPR and Rescue training prior to taking the Chamber course.
