PADI IDC Pattaya Thailand -
May 2006 Pattaya hosted PADI's Instructor Examination the 13th - 14th May 2006. The PADI scuba diving examination lasts just two days - this is after building up to this with dive training for up to six months. Dive interning offers a great way to see the dive industry from within and actively get involved in all areas of a busy dive operation. Generally this type of scuba experience allows for much better preparation for exams as you literally eat, sleep and breathe scuba - if this is your wish. We had 7 dive candidates for the IDC and IE. One candidate has a make up to do on the confined water due to a 'brain fart' but took this like a man and continued to complete the Instructor Examination. This is very beneficial to him as this allows just the one area to be re-taken. Maturely he celebrated with the new instructors at the party. The candidates were - Gaz, Phil, Paul G, Stephane, Tenko, Ian and last and certainly not least Nathan "G'day Tiger!" Nok, a Bangkokian diver joined us for the IDC and IE. STAFF: Steve Blumenthal (Course Director), Russell Martin (Course Director), Claus (Master Instructor), Desi (Staff Instructor), Phil (Staff Instructor), Sheena (Staff Instructor) and Slinky (Staff Instructor). Have a little look at the pictures below (open in "pop up") and join me in congratulating the guys. Do you think that there was a big party? :-) ... Each new IDC each month will be documented here also.
