IDC and IE Pattaya, Thailand
April 2006
 Mermaid's CDC of Pattaya, Thailand had another
wonderful result on April 12th 2006 just one day before Thai New year, with all of the
10 scuba diving instructor candidates that have been
interning in the diving instructor training passing their instructor exams. All
are now new PADI
Open Water Instructors. The new PADI dive instructors are: Zoe G, Maddy, Gerald,
Andy T, Drew C, Patrick G, Marc P, Neil A, Johnny W and last but certainly not
least Mark R.
Congratulations to all! Another 100% pass rate!
As PADI STAFF we had Adam, Terry, Mark
(Slinky) and and Desi! On the program also was Steve
Blumenthal (PADI CD), and Russell Martin (PADI CD).
The feedback from the dive interns / new
instructors again was that the IDC was really very harsh. During the IDC it
seems extremely hard going with many presentations, skills, and hard marking
from the STAFF instructors. Exactly the same feedback from the March IDC - the
guys all appreciated why t was tough during the IDC - to prepare them for the IE
to pass more easily.

extraordinary pass grade of "6" was given by general consensus -
I believe that they had many guys taking the course that evening and
practicing their skills all night:-) |
