IDC and IE Pattaya, Thailand March 2006 Mermaid's CDC of Pattaya, Thailand had a
wonderful result on March 19th 2006 with all of the 11 candidates that have been
interning in the diving instructor training passing their instructor exams. All
are now new PAD Two new PADI Staff instructors are now qualified also - Adam and Terry! Well done! On the program also was Steve Blumenthal (PADI CD), Russell Martin (PADI CD) and Claus (Master Instructor). Staffing as qualified was Desi and Harvey. Many of the guys related how hard they found the IDC (Instructor Development Course) in comparison to the PADI IE (Instructor Examination. This is actually very common. The reason for this is that we try to make the IDC as demanding as the IE and some more. If this is done then generally it is found that if the IDC can be handled then the IE should not cause any problems at all. If we ever see an error on a PADI Instructor Exam it is usually down to nerves.
