Mermaids Football team on true form Mermaids Dive Career Development Center Vs Aquanauts Dive
Shop Since the A-nauts had been challenged to a friendly game of football the boys thought it wise to train hard. With a 2 week intensive practice program of scuba diving and football, Captain Marco and the Team which consisted of Simon.S, Justin, Dave.P, Ben, Andy, Tom, Clive, Chris W, Aeddan, Dave H, Adam, Raul, Paul and Phil emerged victorious with a score of 2-1. The first goal was scored early in the first half by our own Italian stallion - Captain Marco. After dribbling past several defenders he calmly slotted the ball in to the bottom corner, sending the crowds wild. Just before half time the opposition managed to pull even after a goal mouth tussle the ball was smashed in to the back of the net. Halfway though the second half after a period of extended pressure by Mermaids a long cross resulted in Captain Marco putting the ball in the top of the goal. There's no “I” in team as you know - all pulled together brilliantly to win the day … but Marco did do very well.
