PADI Go PRO Challenge Official Contest Rules - NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PADI Go Pro Challenge (“Contest”) is open to PADI Members. The Contest consists of two separate contests, the Challenge Testimonial Contest and the Professional Rating Contest. The Challenge Testimonial Contest is a global contest with one winner. The Professional Rating Contest is specific to each PADI Office, and may have different contest rules and contest prize(s). PADI Members are eligible to enter both contests, but each member is only eligible for one Professional Rating Contest, consistent with that member’s PADI Office affiliation (Home Office) as of 31 January 2010. Contest Rules and Prizes may vary by PADI Office territory due to local laws. Contest is void where restricted or otherwise prohibited by law. ELIGIBILITY Contest is open to PADI Members 18 years of age or older. All PADI Members must be renewed for 2009 and 2010 and not have an open Quality Assurance action to be eligible to win. Employees, and family members of employees, of PADI Worldwide Corp. and all related and affiliate companies, globally, are not eligible for the contest. GENERAL RULES & CONDITIONS By participating in the contest, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules. Winners will be required to sign and Winners will be notified by mail. PADI is not responsible for lost, misdirected or postage due mail. PADI is not responsible for any late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries. Incomplete or illegible entries are not eligible. PADI or its affiliates may rescind any promotion found to contain errors without liability at their sole discretion. Challenge Testimonial Contest Worldwide - HOW TO ENTER Entrants must attain a professional level credential through PADI; i.e. Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Emergency First Response Instructor, PADI Specialty Instructor, etc. (“Member Credentials”). Qualifying Member Credentials must have certification dates from 1 January 2009 through 30 September 2010. All applications for Member Credentials must be accurate and complete, including all signatures and required documents. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not qualify for the Contest. Applications for Member Credentials must be received and processed by PADI by 30 September 2009. Entrant must also submit a video (or captioned photography) (“Submission”) explaining “Why I Became a PADI Pro” no later than 30 September 2009. Video must be no more than three (3) minutes in length and in MPEG format. Submissions shall not contain violence, nudity, profanity or other potentially offensive language or visuals. Submissions must include the Entrant’s name, member number, address, phone number and email address. Submissions in file sizes under 2MB should be emailed to gpc@padi.com. Submissions in files sizes over 2MB must be submitted on DVD or CD and mailed to PADI GPC Testimonial, 30151 Tomas, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 regardless of PADI Office affiliation. PADI reserves the right to edit winner’s Submission at its sole discretion. Submissions will become the sole property of PADI. PADI will have all global intellectual and industrial property rights to use the Submissions from any and all entrants for promotional purposes without compensation to the entrant. Entrants agree to execute an assignment of copyright rights upon request from PADI. WINNER SELECTION Prize for Challenge Testimonial Contest will be announced in November 2009 and awarded by 15 December, 2009. Professional Rating Contest - PADI Asia Pacific - HOW TO ENTER Entrants must attain at least one new professional level credential through PADI; i.e. Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Entrants can also earn “Bonus Points” based on total student certifications/participant registrations (see list). For example, entrants will earn 10 points for 25-49 certifications, whether the certifications are Open Water Diver, Dive master, OWSI, etc. These “Qualifying Student Certifications” must reflect certification dates from 1 January 2009 through 31 December 2009. All Qualifying Student Certifications must be accurate and complete, including all signatures and required documentation. Qualifying Student Certifications that do not meet these criteria will not qualify for the contest and will not result in Bonus Points being provided to entrant. Qualifying Student Certifications must be received and processed by PADI by 31 January 2010. Entrant will receive Bonus Points based on maximum total Qualifying Student Certifications for 2009; for example, an entrant issuing 57 Qualifying Student Certifications in 2009 will receive 15 Bonus Points. Entrants will accumulate points (Affiliated Points and Bonus Points) regardless of where they complete their professional-level training, at what PADI Office the Member Credential(s) is processed, or at what PADI Office the Qualifying Diver Student Certification(s) is processed. If two or more PADI Members in PADI Asia Pacific achieve the same number of points based on Member Credentials and Qualifying Student Certifications, the total number of PADI certifications issued by each entrant in 2009 will be the deciding factor. The final decision is at the sole discretion of PADI. Regional contest eligibility will be determined by the Contest Rules of the PADI Office with which the PADI Member is affiliated (Home Office) on 31 January2010.
* Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) and Bubblemaker participant registrations will qualify for Bonus Points at a five to one (5:1) ratio as compared to diver certifications (i.e. five (5) PADI DSD registrations is equivalent to one (1) diver certification). For example, a member must submit 125 DSD registrations to qualify for 10 Bonus Points. A member submitting 335 DSD registrations will qualify for 15 Bonus Points. PADI Scuba Diver certifications qualify at a one to one (1:1) ratio for Bonus Points. Members who attain their EFR Instructor Trainer rating get 15 points. WINNER SELECTION Prize for PADI Asia Pacific Professional Rating Contest will be awarded during the first quarter of 2010. The winner must be
affiliated with PADI Asia Pacific (Home Office) as of 31 January 2010, and be the PADI Member accumulating the most
points. Winner will be notified by mail. PADI’s decision and selection of the winner shall be final. The contest winner for
PADI Asia Pacific will receive a DOXA Dive Watch (Retail Value; $2,990 US). Additionally, all PADI Professionals affiliated
with PADI Asia Pacific as of 31 January 2010, who accumulate at least 100 points will be awarded a Limited Edition PADI
PRO Jacket embroidered with their highest professional rating.
