The celebratory evening charity dinner was held at the Jomtien Boathouse Hotel with a prize giving and auctions of dive gear in aid of Project AWARE. The evening was opened by Wuthisak Ruemgitjagarn, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya for Environment and Health. Mr Ruemgitjagarn said “I am very proud of what you have all achieved and a good example has been set for everyone”.

Prizes for the raffle included Scuba BCDs, watches, clothing, spa sessions, Pattaya Hotel stays and dinners generously donated by Aqualung, Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, Dive Supply, Aquamaster Good Tour & Travel, Chacrit Muay Thai School Bangkok, Bike Zone, Pinnacle Wetsuits, Aster Spring, Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, Coca Cola, Nivea Sun, SeacSub, Surface Marker, Dadriba, Tom Rosetti, Dive Junkie, Brock Wright, Surface Marker Ltd., DAN Asia Pacific, Opera Riserva Wine Bar Bangkok, The Residence Garden, Mermaids Dive Center, OutDoor Unlimited and Jomtien Boathouse Hotel.

Tickets were sold at 100 baht with prizes worth well over 100,000 Thai baht to be won. MC Pete Waagensen took the microphone to thank all participants and introduce the running of the evening. Sheena, Mermaids GM handed out prizes whilst MC Hammer Charlie took the Microphone to announce prize winners and bust people chops with jokes...(pictures open in new windows - pop ups). 154,562 baht (Approx $5000) was raised for Project AWARE!

The evening saw many winners of prizes making many very happy indeed. Prizes for winning tickets were often auctioned off by generous givers. At the end of the raffle there were several great donations from Sponsors such as the Sea and Sea camera and Swatch Watches up for auction with proceeds going to Project AWARE.

Graham in the last 3 pictures took a lions share winning 5 prizes! A happy chappy he'd done very well but did donate a lot of money by buying many tickets! Just when all thought that his luck could not get any more Scottish - he won the Suunto D9 top prize of the evening! Well Done to Graham and all of the other participants of the raffle. To win is a bonus but all contributed to wards the Project Aware goal! Well done!
