- PERT Emergency Response Diver Internship
The
PERT (Professional Emergency Response Team) Diver and Professional PERT
Instructor are the two brand new scuba diving internships offered by Mermaids
Career Development Center, Pattaya, Thailand.
The Emergency Response Diving courses
have been gaining a lot of attention from hardy experienced divers that wish to
experience the
world of service diving. The PERT programs are designed by fire fighters, police
and military and offer the diver experience in the areas that the firefighter and police
response departments dive in. With further training according to specific location
and Gvt regulations the diver can work towards becoming an active member of a Public Safety Diving
(PSD / PSDiver) team.
ERD - Emergency Response Diving can be a
full-time career in the forces/services or part-time diving job on call with
your local fire or police department when the call arises. Each location and
service has differing stipulations on further dive training to become a professional
response diver.
Mermaids Dive have designed 2 PERT
internships. PERT Internship 1 is for the diver wishing to experience the
realm of response diving. PERT Internship 2 is for the professional scuba
diver that wishes not only to be experienced in emergency response dive practices
and skills but also wishes to teach the PERT Public Safety Diver courses
(non-vocational).

There are two levels to

recipient), and much more...
-
PERT
Level 2 - This excellent and challenging upgrade to the Public
Safety Diving Course (PERT) Level 1, includes heavy object rigging,
