Scuba Divers have a unique perspective of the underwater world, and see firsthand the crisis facing our underwater environments. Mermaids Dive Center in conjunction with the Regents School, Pattaya, Thailand have designed a special clean up day for the International Round Square conference delegates.
Mermaids Dive Center, Jomtien is a Go Eco Center committed to keeping Pattaya’s underwater realm and beaches in pristine conditions for our local and international snorkelers and scuba divers. Each month Mermaids PADI CDC dedicate a dive day to collect trash from the reefs and beaches of a Pattaya Island. Our clean ups are very successful and all divers and snorkelers that take part in this worthwhile project claim a sense of achievement at the end of the day for taking part and making their difference.
Mermaids Dive Center Pattaya are the proud recipients of the PADI annual Project AWARE Marine Award in 2009 for our commitment to the following projects:
Monthly beach clean ups
International Clean Up Day 2008 – 176 participants
International Clean Up Day 2009 – 203 participants
So whether your’ a certified scuba diver, snorkeler or want to learn to dive on the day, fill out the booking form

The price for taking part is 2650 baht per diver including all equipment required, lunch on the boat and a special T Shirt to commemorate the day. Snorkelers are 900 baht per person including all equipment required, lunch on the boat and a special T Shirt to commemorate the day. If you are interested in learning about diving and taking part in the underwater clean up on the day this will be 3800 baht per person including Instructor, all equipment required, lunch on the boat and a special T Shirt to commemorate the day. The PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience let’s you safely view the underwater world in only one day. We will teach you the basics of diving at one of the beaches, and our qualified PADI Instructors will lead you on an exciting tour of the fringing islands reefs. Come and join us on the 11th or 13th October and make your difference.
Funds raised from this event will be donated to Pattaya Orphan Home continuing
Mermaids CDCs dedication to local charities.
