Aqualung Technical Training
Aqualung Technical Training Course – Level 1
Dry Side Aqualung Technical Training Hosted at Mermaids Dive Center
The Aqualung Technical Training course teaches the theory and mechanism of the Aqua Lung regulator. The Aqualung Calypso first and second stage and Powerline inflator are covered with demonstration of service and maintenance layout.
This was another great course by Aquamaster Thailand taught by Scott McCreadie at Mermaids. Congratulations to everyone who learned how to maintain and service the complete Calypso regulator. Well maintained equipment is required to minimise the risk of malfunction or failure. To have your regulator serviced regularly can be expensive. To be able to service scuba equipment yourself is not only money saving but also a time saver. No more sending your regs away or having to wait for your centre to have staff available! Dive equipment training can be taken at many different levels with Mermaids Dive Center 5 Star PADI CDC.
During the training, all participants performed technical servicing following Aqua Lung standards and specifications. The training was pome day ion length and held at Mermaids head office opposite the divers hotel. The instructor was Scott McCreadie (Aqua Master Sales Manager) and the prerequisite of entry was service technician or Divemasters and above.
With the successful completion of the training participants received a certificate from Aqua Lung authorizing them to perform technical servicing on Aqua Lung equipment (Calypso/Powerline) under the supervision of an authorized Aqua Lung dealer.
All participants received a full set of manuals/schematics from Aqua Master. A website login for free access to exploded views and technical manuals was provided. All materials for courses are provided at Mermaids unless otherwise gained by the students. Contact us here at Mermaids or watch our upcoming news on the site for further details of future technician training.
