Global Divers with Mermaids
Discover Scuba Diving for the first time is an experience not to be missed. Whether just a couple of feet deep or diving a wreck. As they say – 70% of the world is water – I hope you enjoy your 30%:)
Whilst on holiday in Pattaya Thailand, six friends from Scotland (Near England for the Americans:) made Mermaids Dive Center their first stop of their tour some fun packed diving. Busing it from Bangkok to Pattaya can be easy – especially for young friends. At the end of the journey from Bangkok, Mermaids transfers collected the group of would-be divers from North Pattaya Bus Station and soon had them at the Jomtien scuba center getting them ready for their first ever diving experience. Diving from the pier at pier at Samaesan they will have sen a real Thai fishing village, where they boarded Mermaids 1 to go diving. Two dives (morning and afternoon) later and they had a great time and fun with the Mermaids Instructors, the group returned to the Main Operations Center to get their certificates to remember their day. Scuba diving truly does not have to be scary in any way – discover scuba diving today – all six of these guys are happy that they did? Young 8 year old Emily from Brussells enjoyed her PADI Bubblemaker experience so much, she returned to dive with us three times during her holiday in Pattaya.
Well done Emily and we are looking forward to seeing you on your next school holiday. Who knows – maybe you’ll be teaching diving in the future. There aren’t many 8 years olds that can say they have scuba dived! Nadia from Bangkok, our young dive trainee was delighted to be diving on the Mermaids boat at the same time as Thai superstar Kosin Rachakrom. Also doing dive training is Chuang from China and Patrick from Taiwan. All three are doing the Master Scuba Diver Internship which is a recreationally based scuba internshipand are certainly a fun trio to have with us on the Mermaids boats. Team Japan had lots of awesome days training and fun diving in the month of July.
Congratulations to all Team Japan divers on their Divemaster, PADI Rescue and Advanced Open Water Course achievements. Congratulations to new members who joined in. Mermaids welcomes new and old divers daily!
